What a scorcher!

And in more ways than one!
You know you've had a good day out when you only leave Cob House as their locking the gates yet you got there at 8:30am.
Busy day at the pond in every sense. Some stunning boats came out to play and some lovely new arrivals making their first appearance at Cob. Something very special was brought along by Martin, that I confess I fell in love with at first sight.
Smiles, laughs and another two new members, we're doing something right!
Tracy Carpenter sailed the absolutely stunning Amy Claire narrowboat with its new power setup, this build is one to see, the detail and finish outstanding, and it sails as good as it looks. Team Johnson were doing their thing flying around the pond having fine fun and relishing the summer sun. Dave Weaver sailed his stunning Speedline Trent lifeboat which performed really nicely, Dave also brought along his newest acquisition a lovely and large yacht that will soon grace the Cob pond.
Ash and Ivan both brought along barges to compliment their respective tugs and both really looked the part, fantastic to see something different, and very impressive with the added functionality. Ivan even managed to do some dredging, teach me to challenge him.
DC was on his usual recovery duties with his WMBC pusher tug. Fantastic to see Maurice again after a brief visit to Dr Bob his stunning yacht was sorted and he sailed his Najade which always looks amazing. We had plenty of other boats on the water, but if I typed up about them all this would be akin to war and peace.
We also welcomed a further two new members who found us via our new website and were both extremely complimentary about our facilities and the warm welcome from our membership.
Next week is Warwick preparation event No.2, so gazebo's and tables will be available. So get the polish out ladies and gents.
