Sunday brought the now infamous WMBC Xmas party! this year it became Xmas breakfast / Brunch. Fantastic turnout of team WMBC who were certainly in the Christmas spirit.
Huge thanks to the fantastic team at Cob House who got us fed and watered in style. A wonderful breakfast was had by all. We always enjoy our breakfast at Cob but its extra special at Christmas.
Not all fun and excitement, lots going on, no sitting still at WMBC. Our resident structural engineer and building team were on site to check over the existing launch platform plus planning and measuring up for the new 2019 platform. So watch this space!
The bespoke boat launcher is nearing completion.. This we plan to integrate into the new platform, this means all boats can be launched and recovered with complete ease, regardless of shape, size or weight. We thanks Ash for all his efforts, The system has a fully adjustable carriage which can be adjusted to suit all hull types and boat proportions. I know this will benefit a lot of our members moving forward.
We also had some new vessels arriving this week. Ash launched his latest acquisition, a dynamic dive submarine. It performed really well diving out of site and popping back up. No issues found, great to see another new vessel at WMBC.
We had another new arrival, something a little different. Alex during a recent shopping trip spotted a toy bath duck, only one way this was going. So today 'Howard' the Duck was introduced, today sporting his xmas outfit.
Reminder that 2019 Membership is now due, 91% of our existing members have paid up already, Well done. Anyone who hasn't yet paid, and intends to pay please get in contact.
We have had numerous enquiries to join since Warwick and again at the AGM. We want to be fair to everyone, so don't miss out.
Just remains to say from Howard, the committee, membership and friends of WMBC Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all, May 2019 Bring many more hours of happy sailing.
